Katie Axtell's practice focuses on assisting clients with their estate planning, probate, business and real estate needs. Before joining her father-in-law's longtime practice, Katie was a litigator in downtown Seattle, arguing cases in bankruptcy court, federal district court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She began her legal career as a law clerk for Justice Charles W. Johnson of the Washington State Supreme Court.
Katie was recognized by her peers in Washington Law and Politics as being both a Rising Star (2013- 2015) and a Super Lawyer (2016-2022). She served as Committee Chair of the Bankruptcy Section for the King County Bar Association and was a Co-Chair of the Ethics and Practice Section of the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Washington. Katie is admitted to practice law in Washington.
Education. Katie graduated from Seattle University School of Law, cum laude, in 2004. While in law school, she was a member of the Seattle University Law Review where she was a Note and Comment Editor. Katie received her undergraduate at the University of Washington in Seattle, with a double major in History and International History: Comparative Religion.
